<p>MASSENA – Mrs. Jeanette Penny, 90, of 22 Monroe Parkway, passed away Thursday morning, January 5, 2017 at Massena Memorial Hospital.</p><p><br></p><p>Jeanette was born August 15, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of the late Robert and Astrid Peterson Rees. She attended school in Chicago. On September 12, 1945, she married William Penny in Chicago, he predeceased her on June 13, 1982. </p><p><br></p><p>Jeanette was a homemaker, who worked for a time at Illinois Bell, Osco Drugs, and an insurance company in Chicago. She was a member of the Victory Baptist Church in Winthop, a volunteer for Massena Meals on Wheels, Massena Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley. She cherished the time she was able to spend with her family, especially her daughters. </p><p><br></p><p>Jeanette is survived by her daughters, Jean and Nancy Penny, both of Massena; her daughter-in-law, Mary Jo Penny of Pine Junction, CO; 8 grandchildren 17 great grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Betty Ann Penny of Chicago.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to her parents and her husband, Jeanette was predeceased by her son, James Penny in 2003 and her brother,Robert Rees in 2003.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>

MASSENA – Mrs. Jeanette Penny, 90, of 22 Monroe Parkway, passed away Thursday morning, January 5, 2017 at Massena Memorial Hospital.


Jeanette was born August 15, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of the late Robert and Astrid Peterson Rees. She attended school in Chicago. On September 12, 1945, she married William Penny in Chicago, he predeceased her on June 13, 1982.
