Michael Cirella

STILLWATER - Michael A. Cirella, 87 of Dorchester Dr., died Saturday March 25th at Samaritan Hospital, Troy. Born in Mechanicville, May 1, 1929, son of the late Vitaliano and Concetta Cirella, Mike was a 1948 graduate of Mechanicville High School. In his youth, Mike worked as an usher at the former State Theater and set pins at the former Columbia Club lanes both in Mechanicville. A clerk with the NYS Dept. of Labor in Albany for 36 years before retirement, Mike had bowled in the McVille Fire Dept league for many years, had also played bocce ball at the Italian Fraternal courts and was a past Holy Names Society member. Mike enjoyed playing cards with his family and in-laws especially pinochle and “98”. Survivors include his wife of 59 years Audrey Sears Cirella, daughter Pamela Cirella Colclough of Stillwater and son Michael and daughter in law Suzanne Cirella of Mechanicville, grandchildren: Tanya (Jon Wolff) Wason, Tyler Colclough, Jesse and Daniel Cirella and great grandchildren Nickolas and Adriana Wolff. Also sister Ann Reilly of Stillwater and brother Thomas (Janice) Cirella of Michigan, along with nieces, nephews and their families. Mike was predeceased by his sister Mary D’Aloia and brother Henry Cirella. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at Noon at All Saints on the Hudson Church, 895 Hudson Ave., Stillwater, with entombment in St. Paul’s Mausoleum. Calling hours at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St., Mechanicville on Tuesday from 4-7 PM Remembrances may be made to the Northeast NY Kidney Foundation, 502 New Karner Rd, Suite 6, Albany, 12205.
