Carol McCormick

Carol Gwendolyn McCormick of South Nyack passed away on November 15, 2016. She was born on August 6, 1939 to Berman and Virginia Watkins. Carol married Isaac McCormick on January 29th, 1960; they were married for 56 years. Carol will be remembered for her strong family values, bright personality, always being willing to help her family and being a valuable pillar in the community. She was one of several founding members of the Delta’s Rockland Alumnae Chapter and the correspondence secretary. She is survived by her devoted husband Isaac McCormick, her loving children Carrie McCormick, Lamont McCormick, and her five cherished grandchildren Lamont McCormick Jr., Aaron McCormick, Gwendolyn Nichols, Jackson McCormick and Logan McCormick, her two brothers Berman and his wife Myrtle Watkins and Keith and his wife Shearell Watkins, her daughter in law Avril McCormick, mother in law Ann McCormick, brother in law David McCormick, sister in law Regina McCormick, her niece Felicia Fletcher, Keith Watkins Jr., Christopher Watkins, Valerie Watkins- Schmidt, Donna Watkins-Madison, Sonya Watkins and Crystal King. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9AM until 11 AM at the Fairmont Baptist Church in Haverstraw, NY. A Homegoing serice will take place at 11 AM at the church.
