He spent some of his best years raising his family, coaching little league, teaching them to golf and ski, being the best father a child could ask for. Upon retiring in 1993 he moved to Port St. Lucie, Florida to spend quality time with his first love, his wife and to pursue his passion for his second love, golf. After enjoying twenty years of leisurely living and retirement in Florida he and his first love returned to the family home in Stony Point. His family will be forever grateful for the time they got to spend with him and for the Grace of a loving God who gifted him with a life well lived that came full circle. Charles's final wish will be honored by his family and services will be private. Anybody who wishes can make a donation to a charity of their choice or to the Alliance of Hope.org
