Lucy Lynch of Tappan, NY passed away on January 29, 2017, she was 91 years old. Lucy was born in Wappinger’s Falls, NY on January 21, 1926 to Vito and Mary DeLaura. She attended Sparkill Grammar School and Tappan Zee High School. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of Piermont and the Piermont VFW Post. Lucy was predeceased by her husband George in 2004, six sisters; Mary DInnocenzo, Connie Valerio, Elizabeth DeSevo, Anna Foytlin, Della Toto and Angelina Emerson and two brothers; Nick and Dominick DeLaura. She is survived by two sons Donald of West Haverstraw and Raymond (Jo Ann) of New Windsor, one grandson Kevin, two sisters in law Sharon Ogden of Orangeburg and Mary Lynch of Nyack and many nieces and nephews. Lucy was a great mother and great grandmother. We shall miss her. Visiting will be held on Wednesday from 4PM to 8 PM at the Hannemann Funeral Home, Inc. in Nyack. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10 AM at St. John the Baptist RC Church in Piermont, NY with interment to follow at Rockland Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Donor Services PO Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA 01202.
