E. Christine I. Manor Obituary

Christine"Chris" Manor of LaGrangeville, NY, passed away on Tuesday December 6, 2016. She passed at her home in the comfort of her partner and best friend, Eric Buckley, of Poughquag NY, who lovingly cared for her in her final days. Her loving Sister Jane B. Wilcox, of Glen Falls NY was also by her side. Christine had a long and extremely courageous battle with Cancer.

Chris, 71, was born on September 12, 1945 in Frostburg MD. She graduated from Arlington High School in Lagrangeville NY, and went on to attend Becker College in Worcester, MA. Chris gave 32 years of service as an Executive Assistant at IBM Poughkeepsie NY location and retired in 2012.

Chris was a loving and devoted Mother, Grandmother (Mimi), Sister, Cousin, and Aunt. She became a great friend to all who knew her. Her memory will be cherished by those who survive her including her beloved and adored only child, Son, Joshua A. Manor of Hyde Park NY, his wife, Tiffany L. Manor, who was the Daughter she never had, and her Grandson, Evan A. Manor, whom she loved more than life itself. The sun rose and set on her "Little Man" Evan and her Son Joshua. She would continuously remind Evan how "She loved him to the moon and back a million times". Evan felt the same love for his Mimi.

Also surviving Chris is her Second Mother, Doris "Sis" Beddoe of Pittsfield MA, and Cousin Philip "Chuck" Peters of Poughkeepsie, NY whom was always there to help Christine in any way he could. Chris had many Cousins, Nieces and Nephews that she loved immensely. She was predeceased by both her Mother, Nancy Hamberger Beddoe and Father Robert I. Beddoe II, as well as Brother, Robert I.Beddoe III. Christine did have her "two kids" Lilly and Harley (which were her dogs), that she left behind. Her other "kid" Samson had recently passed away. Chris was an avid animal, wildlife and nature lover. She possessed a green thumb like no other. She loved planting flowers, working outside and spending her free time poolside with her "Little Man" and her Family. She spent a generous amount of time and money caring for the wildlife around her home and probably for miles around by feeding them. Chris loved to read and was a great supporter of

her local Library in Beekman, NY.

A Memorial Service will be done at the convenience of her family. In lieu of flowers we ask for donations to your local Animal Shelter or Wildlife Federation, as these were things that Chris was very passionate about. I would like to express a sincere Thank You to Hospice of Dutchess County NY and their nurses, for their services in Christine's final days.
