Allene Wright Craig, 86, of Fairview went home to be with her Lord Thursday, November 17, 2016. Mrs. Craig was born August 3, 1930 in Buncombe County to the late Lunnie and Jennie Wright. Allene liked to garden and can her vegetables. She was a member of Chestnut Hill Baptist Church. A special time for her was going out with her brother and sisters after church on Sunday to eat. She was a precious and Godly mama. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Craig; son, Steve Craig; and brother, Oates Wright. Mrs. Craig is survived by her daughter, Doris Hollifield (Cliff); sons, Charles Craig (Dora), Larry Craig (Marla), and Rick Craig (Dana); daughter-in-law, Donnie Craig; sisters, Edith Craig, Mavis Pack, Carolyn Craig, Thelma Russell, and Martha Garrison; brothers, James “Jay” Wright and Daniel Wright; 9 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, November 20, 2016 at 2:00pm in Chestnut Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Harris and Rev. Andrew Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 19, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 at Harwood Home for Funerals.
