Betty Lankford Pope, 75 of Charlotte, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2016. Mrs. Pope was born December 18, 1940 in Buncombe County to the late Paul and Gladys Lankford. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Pope; and brothers, Jim Lankford and Pete Wall. Betty was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church and retired from CVS. She is survived by her daughter, Denise Pope Delp and husband, Rob of Waxhaw; and granddaughters, Rebecca and Abigail Delp. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Harwood Home for Funerals with Rev. Martin Lytle officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
