Madelyn “Mickey” Wright, 82, of Swannanoa, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2016. Mrs. Wright was born October 24, 1934 in Buncombe County to the late John and Edna Sharpton. She enjoyed life and spending time with family and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Wright; son, Daniel K. Wright, Jr.; daughter, Sherri Wright Camby; and brother, Jack Sharpton. Madelyn is survived by her daughter, Judy Flynn (Chester); 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 2 nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Harwood Home for Funerals. Burial will follow at 2:00 pm at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
