Edward Reineke

Brevard - Edward (Bubba) Reineke, 77, went to rejoice with the Lord March 25, 2017 in Brevard, NC. Ed was born November 28, 1939 in Miami, FL to the late Rene and Irene Reineke. He graduated from Miami-Edison High School then worked as an electrician before getting a job with the Metro-Dade Fire Department. He remained a firefighter for 33 ½ years until retiring as a Lieutenant. After moving to North Carolina in 1995, Ed grew tired of retirement and joined the volunteers at the Transylvania County Sheriff’s Office; where he continued his public service for 15 years. Ed was a member of Middlefork Baptist Church, a member of the Dunn’s Rock Masonic Lodge, and an active advocate for Cops for kids. In his spare time, he enjoyed being outdoors—especially hunting. Ed was a big man with a kind gentle soul as well as a loving generous heart, always giving to others. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Myrna; two sons, Dale (Jane) and Mark (Barbara), and a daughter Pam (Sandy). A memorial service will be held at Middlefork Baptist Church on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Friends for Life, Forever Farm, P.O.
