James Passmore

James Coleman Passmore, 81, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2016. Born in Jackson Co, he was the son of the late Alex Passmore and Bertie Erchburg Passmore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou Cowart Passmore; one son, J.B. Passmore and several brothers and sisters. James loved bluegrass music and was a talented mandolin player. He was Baptist by faith. He is survived by two sons, Taburn Passmore and Tony Passmore and wife Angela both of Franklin; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 30th in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Gary McCoy will officiate. Burial will be in the Union United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m., prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Union United Methodist Church, 3768 Georgia Road, Franklin, NC 28734. Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
