Willa Mae Tippett Obituary

Willa Mae Cloer Tippett, 79, of Franklin, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2016. Born in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Rev. W.A. Cloer and Roxie Passmore Cloer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, David Cloer. She was an active member of Iotla Baptist Church and worked with her family for many years at Franklin Frozen Foods. Willa Mae was an avid fisherman; enjoyed flower gardening and was a talented seamstress. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed her life living on the farm. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, John Tippett; two children, Steve Tippett and wife Kelli of Franklin and Sherry Jones and husband Larry of Mooresville, NC; two sisters, Bennie Collett and husband Gene, Patricia Ballew and husband Joe; brother, Buddy Cloer and wife Ida all of Franklin; three grandchildren, Adam Jones, Brooke Tippett and Amy Tippett as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 11, at Iotla Baptist Church. Rev. Steve Reeves and Rev. Judson Hall will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Pallbearers will be Bill Tippett, David Tippett, Adam Jones, Jeff Cloer, Ron Collett and Stan Penland. Honorary Pallbearers will be Carmen Penland and Tammy Holland. Memorial donations can be made to Iotla Baptist Church. Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
