Asyneth “Biddy” (Anderson) Ward, 74 Asyneth “Biddy” (Anderson) Ward, 74, of Ashland passed away, Friday, October 28, 2016 in her home. She was born on January 4, 1942 to the late Frank and Mary (nee Thacker) Conway in Huron County. Biddy married Marlin Dean Anderson on June 8, 1968. The couple celebrated 28 years together prior to his death. She retired from Ashland City Schools after more than 35 years of teaching 3rd grade students. Biddy married Sterling Ward on December 9, 2000 and shared 15 years together. She enjoyed traveling throughout her life. Biddy attended many plays in New York and other cities and the Ashland Symphony Orchestra. Biddy also enjoyed attending Ashland football games. She was a member of Grace Brethren Church. Biddy is survived by her husband, Sterling Ward of Ashland; one son, Scott (Wendy) Anderson of Ashland; two step sons, Jon (Heather) Ward of Charleston, South Carolina and Paul (Renee) Ward of Lexington; one step-daughter, Christina Young of Ashland; her grandchildren, Taylor and Sarah Anderson, Coral, Skyler, Michael, Stephen, and Sarah Ward, Shane Casper, and Sean Young; two sisters, Avanelle Shonkwiler of Ashland and Mary Scott of Ashland; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Biddy is preceded in death by her first husband, Marlin Anderson on March 15, 1997; three sisters, Erma and Phyllis Conway, and Gloria (William) Albrecht; one brother, Lowell Conway; and two sisters-in-law Phyllis Nordin and Joyce Walsh. Funeral services will be held, Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with Reverend Norm Johnson officiating. Interment will be in the Ashland Cemetery. Friends may call two hours prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
