Henry Robinson ASHLAND, Ohio Obituary

Henry Robinson

Henry Shire Robinson, 91 Henry Shire Robinson, 91, of Ashland passed away on February 24th, 2017 at the Good Shepherd Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. My dad was born and raised in Ohio where his parents taught him the value of hard work, honesty and to care for your neighbor. He was proud to serve his country in WWII. I wish you could have known my dad. This is my favorite picture of my father and I, his sweet smile, the twinkle in his eye, his radiance of love and kindness. He had such a tender heart and would help anyone in need. He was a soft spoken, intelligent, compassionate and a caring person. He absolutely loved to be busy; puttering in his work shop, fixing the house, monkeying with the cars, building toys for us kids when we were small. Golf, bowling and bridge card games gave him such enjoyment with his friends. He use to tell these awful corny jokes, they were so bad you couldn't help but laugh. I’m very proud of my father; we never had to do without as my dad was an excellent provider, caring father and a doting husband. We were blessed that both my mom and dad could see each other every day and give each other a kiss goodnight. Henry married his true love, Doris Louise whom he met on a blind date. They just celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary. They had 3 beautiful children; Laura Lee and a set of twins, Michael Shire and Marcia Ann. Sadly, his son Michael and daughter Laura Lee have preceded him into heaven. My dad’s passing is sad and joyous at the same time. Can you imagine his happiness seeing his children, his parents, family and friends and especially Christ welcoming him back home. Henry is survived by his wife, Doris and daughter Marcia Ann, his sister Francis Flock family, grandchildren, great grandchildren and his extended families. My dad received such wonderful care from the Good Shepherd Nursing Facility and Hospice of North Central Ohio, I can’t thank them enough for their exceptional service and loving care they provided for my father. In keeping with Henry’s wishes, no services will be observed. Online condolences for the family, may be shared on the funeral home’s website at denbowfh.com. Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
