Jane L. Moore, 65 Jane L. Moore, 65 of Galion passed away Sunday, February 26, 2017 in her home surrounded by family. She was born on May 14, 1951 in Ashland to the late Myron Ralph and Betty Jane (nee Snook) Ekey. Jane was a 1969 graduate of Ashland High School. Following her graduation, she went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree of Sociology from Ashland College in 1973. She was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority during college. Jane married the love of her life, James “Jim” Moore on December 17, 1972 in Ashland. She spent the majority of her adult life in the child welfare field working in many capacities at Crawford County Children Services. Jane was amongst one of the longest employees with more than 30 years of service. She was a member of many child welfare organizations throughout her employment. Following her retirement, she enjoyed working in the yard and volunteering at the Galion Library. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her husband and grandchildren; their activities were the highlights of her life. Jane is survived by her husband of 44 years of marriage, Jim Moore of Galion, one daughter, Stephanie (fiancé Travis) Moore; one son, Brian Moore; two grandchildren, Brock and Quinn Moore; one sister, Susan (Fred) Feldwisch of Indianapolis, Indiana; one niece; one nephew; four great nieces; and numerous cousins. Jane is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Myron Ekey. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 3, 2017 in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. with Revered Rich Pate officiating. Interment will be in the Savannah Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
