Haman, Sandra J. (Hilker), age 82, of Spring Valley, passed away Friday, March 24th, 2017 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton. Sandra was born February 18th, 1935 to Harold "Barney" Hilker and Leota "Lee" (Colaw) Hilker. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother Bruce A. Hilker. Sandra is survived by her husband of 60 years, James W. "Jim", one daughter, Kim Frantz (Jeffrey) of Fairborn, one son, Scott Haman (Rebecca) of Xenia; six grandchildren, Dustin Whitworth, Brandon Whitworth (Ashley), Mackenzie Hail (Josh), Heather Burrell Haman, Samantha Watkins (Chris), and Sarah Haman (Jeremy Ashley); eight great-grandchildren, Austin, Brody, Cayden, Leanne, Kaelynn, Riley, Nadia and Madilynn; one niece, Debbi Feiler and one nephew, Bruce R. "B.R." Hilker. Sandra's family, especially her grandchildren, were her greatest joy. Sandra's parents owned a resort in Minocqua, Wisconsin, as she was growing up and it became a lifelong favorite place of hers and her family's over the years. She loved to go to casinos and gamble. She would often stop by the casinos in Peoria, Illinois and Tomahawk, Wisconsin on her way to and from the resort. Sandra loved to play Bridge and had Bridge clubs in Wisconsin as well as in Ohio. She enjoyed being outside, especially while gardening. Sandra even could be seen gardening when she didn't feel well. She also enjoyed golfing and making friends at Walnut Grove, where her and her husband were members. You are invited to celebrate Sandra's life from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon on Thursday, March 30th at Conner & Koch Life Celebration Home, 92 W. Franklin St., Bellbrook. Life celebration services will continue at 12:00 noon. Burial to follow at Bellbrook Cemetery.
