Mrs. Elvera Menora Brown Mckinley, daughter of the late Adolph and Bessie Gafford Brown, was born August 3, 1925 in Cincinnati, OH. She was peacefully called to eternal rest on Thursday, December 1, 2016 surrounded by loving children. In addition to Elvera’s parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of over 68 years, Walter Creighton McKinley, Sr; four brothers and six sisters; son in laws, Steve Crockett, Adam Jones, Jr and Philip Woody, Sr.; grandson, Jacob Woody; great granddaughter, Adrianna Jones; and great-great grandson, Jaylen McKinley. She leaves to cherish her memory children, Walter (Terri) McKinley, Gary (Leslie) McKinley, Gloria (Edward) Folds, William (Theresa) McKinley, Rev. John (Rosemary) McKinley, Rev. Charlotte (Thomas) Hargrove, Evangelist Frances Crockett, Kenneth (Annette) McKinley, Elvera Woody, Veronica (John) Scott, Marcia Jones and Chaplain Brian (Constance) McKinley, Sr; sisters, Rachel (Elmer) Stokes and Armenta White; sister in law, Bernice Brown; 52 grandchildren, 87 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, a host of nephews, nieces and friends.
