Ruth M. Strozier Moore "Big Momma", 95, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 21, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 29, 1921 in Newnan, GA to the Reverend Dr. Harvey S. and Marie Strozier. She was one of 6 children. She later relocated to Columbus, OH where she attended the Columbus Public Schools. She is preceded in death by her mother, Marie Strozier Wilson and father, Reverend Dr. Harvey S. Strozier; sons, Herman Wesley, John Henry and William Wesley Martin; brothers, Melvin Lee and Harvey Strozier; sister, Rosetta Strozier Burns; sister in law, Charlotte Strozier, sons in law, Elder William P. Rash, Andrew R. Terry and James (Louie) Donaldson; daughter in law, Denise Martin; granddaughters, Michelle Terry, Cindy Keil and special granddaughter, Jessyontta Martin; and great grandson, Titus Williams. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Burma J. Rash, Hazel J. Terry, Jacquelyn (Henry) Moon, Brenda Donaldson and Rosiemarie Steward; sons, James (Linda) Steward, Jerry and Robert Martin all of Columbus; sister, Harvetta (Michael) Strozier-Colvin of Shreveport, LA and sister in law, Clarice Strozier of St. Louis, MO; 45 granchildren, 138 great grandchildren, 40 great great grandchildren and1 great great great grandchild, nieces, nephews and friends. She was a special God Grandma to Dr. Terrell L. Strayhorn, James Hight and David Smith.
