Edward Stefanko
STEFANKO, Edward W., “Ed”, age 75 of West Milton, passed away peacefully at Hospice of Miami County on Thursday, December 29, 2016, after a lengthy battle with cancer. He graduated from the University of Dayton in 1963 with a BS degree in Physics and a Master’s in Business in 1964. He was employed at SRL in Beavercreek. He then went on to start EDL with two partners and retired in 1996. He also started Heritage Vineyards Winery in 1978. Ed was an avid gardener and loved the outdoors, especially planting trees. He is preceded in death by his parents Steve and Leona Stefanko. Survived by his wife of 53 years Sandra (Jackson) Stefanko, 2 daughters Laura (Tom) Deffet, Catherine (Brent) Armentrout, 2 sons Thomas (Tonya) Stefanko, Robert (Diane) Stefanko, 9 grandchildren Nate, Josh, Claire, Sam, Jake, Jack, Julia, Anna and Molly and 1 great grandson Ben, brother Jerry Stefanko and a sister Irene Young. A Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 14th, 2017 at Transfiguration Catholic Church 972 S. Miami St. West Milton, OH by Father Eric Bowman. A reception will follow the Mass at the church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Miami County Hospice.
