JEAN HUFFMAN

HUFFMAN, JEAN NOBLE age 98 of Dayton passed away Sunday December 18, 2016. She was born on July 30, 1918 in Cedar Falls, Iowa to William Edward and Florence (Stewart) Noble. She received her B.S. degree from the University of Michigan. She was a member of the AAUW and DACOR. Mrs. Huffman joined her husband in representing the government and people of the United States on diplomatic postings to Singapore, Frankfurt, Bonn, Washington D.C., Nigeria, Zurich, Bern, Vancouver and Dusseldorf. Later, she served as a Stephen Minister at the LaJolla Presbyterian Church. She was an avid artist and exhibited her many paintings in LaJolla and foreign posts. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Robert C. Huffman of 53 years, brother William Stewart Noble, aunt Erma Stewart, uncle Clarence and cousin Donald Stewart. Jean is survived by her loving family, cousin Miriam McDonald and her children Linda (Dan) Partain, Michelle (Larry) Zechar, Joan (Bob) Hoying, Christine (Ray) Pikna, Michael (Roseann) McDonald, Shawn (Cindy) McDonald, and their families. A Memorial Service will be held 11AM Thursday December 29, 2016 at Friendship Village 5790 Denlinger Road. Interment Greenwood Cemetery Cedar Falls, Iowa. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, St. Jude’s or charity of one’s choice. Arrangements Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home.
