JAMES, Mildred Catharine, “Millie” (Ogan), formerly of Dayton, of Springfield, transferred to her gift of eternal and abundant life with Jesus on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016. She was preceded in death by husband Leonard in 1978 and son Jerry in 1987. Survived by granddaughter, Julie L. James of NYC, daughter-in-law Peggy L. James of Fairborn, nephew Curt Ogan of Indian Lake, and several other nieces, nephews and cousins. Millie was a long-time member of Northminster Presbyterian Church in Dayton (formerly Forest Ave. Presbyterian) and was active in Sunday school, the Women’s Assoc., Church Treasurer and served as Elder on session. She graduated from Milton-Union High School and the Miami Jacobs Business College. She was a 50+ year member of Dayton-Victory Chapter #594 O.E.S., and other Masonic connected fraternal organizations, holding offices in each. Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24th at the Ohio Masonic Home 2655 W. National Rd. Springfield, OH 45504 by Chaplain Bruce Vincent. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday from 12 noon until time of services. Arrangements entrusted to Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home.
