MENDENHALL, Sherri Kay, at the age of 63, passed away in Yellow Springs, OH on January 15, 2017. Sherri was born in Rome, NY to the late Marvin and Dorothy Mendenhall and lived most of her life in Huber Heights, OH. She had two brothers, Ken (Wendy) Mendenhall and Gary (Suzy) Mendenhall. She was a single parent that proudly dedicated her life to her four sons, John (Sherri) Skinner, Jared Skinner, Jesse Skinner and Gabriel (Sarah) Mendenhall. She is also survived by 8 adored grandchildren; Troy, Taylor, Nathan, Shelby, Justin, Amelia, Ethan, Mia and nephew Corey (Marian) Mendenhall. Sherri is preceded in death by her niece Stephanie Mendenhall Smith. She left behind her beloved canine companion Jake. She touched many lives and inspired numerous people by the countless examples of being a loving daughter, a caring sister, an exemplary mother, an admired grandmother, great friend and respected co-worker. We invite you to celebrate her life with the family for visitation services 11-1PM Saturday January 21, 2017 at Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home 5555 Philadelphia Dr. Dayton OH 45415 with a service at 1PM. The family requests that no flowers be sent for the service, however if you wish to make a donation in her memory to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation or The American Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, that would be much appreciated as she was passionate about both causes.
