Francis Leo Rauch

Francis Leo Rauch, 77, of Marietta, died October 4, 2016, at his home. He was born August 1, 1939 in Churchtown to Leo L. and Ella Heiss Rauch. Francis had retired from Dickson Rendering. He was a member of the Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption. He enjoyed going to his grandchildren’s ballgames. He is survived by two daughters, Beth Roberts (Michael) of Woodsfield and Angeline Carpenter of Lowell; two sons, Brian Rauch (Jenny) of Fleming and Brett Rauch (Dawn) of Marietta; eight grandchildren, Morgan Pittman (Jonathan), Micah Roberts, Jordanna and Katie Rauch, Mitchell Carpenter, Matthew, Andrew and Amanda Rauch; two brothers, Howard Rauch (Jane Ann) of Lowell and Paul Rauch (friend, Freda Huck) of Marietta; sister, Betty Russell (Ed) of Marietta; brother in law, Kelton Fliehman of Lowell, and many nieces and nephews. Francis was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Dickson Rauch, and a sister, Helen Fliehman. Funeral Liturgy, with Mass, will be held at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption on Monday, October 10, 2016, at 10:00 a.m., with the Rev. Msgr. John Michael Campbell as celebrant. Friends may call at the Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home on Sunday from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. Vigil service will be at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Park. The family would like to give a special thank you to his many caregivers and hospice. Donations may be made to the Warren VFD, 17035 St. Rt. 550, Marietta.
