Timothy Joseph Grubert

Timothy Joseph Grubert, 49, of Eugene, Oregon (formerly of Marietta) passed away November 29, 2016 in Eugene. A graduate of Marietta High School (1985) and Marietta College (1989), he moved to Oregon to work as a wildlife biologist for several years. He then earned credentials to work as an x-ray technologist for the past several years. An avid outdoorsman and lover of nature, he was also a dedicated oarsman in high school, college, and then at the Masters level with the Corvallis Rowing Club in Oregon. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Grubert. He is survived by his mother, Mary Grubert of Marietta; sister Katrina Grubert of Corvallis, Oregon; aunts Karen Hoge of Cutler, Janine Klenik of Smyrna, Delaware and Nancy Habel (Phil) of Marietta; as well as numerous cousins. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 9, 2016 at First Congregational Church, 318 Front Street, Marietta, with The Rev. Linda Steelman officiating. The family will greet friends at the church beginning at 10:00 am. It is suggested that memorial donations may be directed to oregonwild.org. (503-283-6343)
