VENDETTE DEEL Haysi,VA- Vendette Deel, age 66, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019 at his home following an extended illness. Born February 7, 1952 in Buchanan County, he was a son of the late Patton and Morgania Deel. He was a disabled coal miner and member of Cranesnest Primitive Baptist Church. He loved knives, old cars, lawnmowers and fixing them but mostly liked the trade. He loved his family and had a strong faith in the Lord. He will be missed by many. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Cleamis Deel. Survivors include his wife, Deborah Deel, two daughters, Vania (John) Justice of Haysi and Hayli Wright of the home, two brothers, Windel (Thelma) Deel of Haysi and Clancey (Pat) Deel of Richlands, three sisters, Elowese (Eugene) Ratliff of Haysi, Velma Gillham of Fredricksburg and Lucretta (David) Ezell of Maryville, TN, special nieces, Makenzie, Emily Mays and Paige Perkins. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Haysi Funeral Home with Elders, Noah Kim Edwards, Roger Fuller and Hoey Lester officiating. Burial will follow in Burton Owens Cemetery, Vansant, VA. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with an evening service at 7:00 p.m.Obituary
