A gathering of family and friends to celebrate the life of Frank Heidinger, 87, of Eastlake, will be from 2-4 PM on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby.<br><br>Mr. Heidinger passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Heartland of Mentor. <br><br>Born March 27, 1929 in Cleveland, he was a lifelong Eastlake resident.<br><br>He was a United States Air Force veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was an avid roller skater, and enjoyed golfing, traveling, Disney World and everything related to Mickey Mouse.<br><br>Mr. Heidinger was employed as a machine operator at the former TRW Valve Division. He retired in 1992 after 40 years. <br><br>Survivors are his children, Heidi (Larry) Kuzniak, Kevin (Terri) Heidinger, Melinda (Robert) Weinberger, Frank (Sue Bumgardner) Heidinger and Penny Key; grandchildren, Jordan Kuzniak and James (Gabby) Kuzniak and great-granddaughter, Alexa Kuzniak.<br><br>He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna in 2011 and daughter, Melanie Austin in 2009. His parents, Leonard and Evelyn (Mason) Heidinger and siblings, Dorothy, Gerald and Frances. <br><br>Military honors and burial will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on Monday, November 21, 2016 at 2 PM. <br><br>In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to Sinbad Sadie Second Chance Rescue, PO Box 50641, Summerville, SC 29485.<br><br>
