Jonnie Cordell

A Celebration of Life for Jonnie Joe Cordell Sr. will be Tuesday, January 31, 2017, 10:00 AM at the Willow View United Methodist Church with Pastor Lesly Broadbent officiating. Cremation will follow the service under the direction of the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Jonnie was born September 24, 1938 in Bristow, Oklahoma, the son of Jackson F. and Juanita Inskeep Cordell and passed away January 25, 2017. Jonnie was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during the Vietnam Conflict, receiving a Purple Heart and a Gold Medel. He retired as Chief Hospital Corpsman in 1985 with thirty three years of service. Jonnie was united in marriage to Mary Dittmeyer January 31, 2009 in Enid. He was member of the Willow View United Methodist Church and the DAV. Jonnie enjoyed traveling to Branson and Florida, Camping and fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Mary, four daughters, Dana Kuders, Kathy Land, Cindi Raymond and Ronda Crider, four sons, Mark Cordell and Jonnie Joe Cordell Jr., Steve Johnson and Tommy Johnson, ten grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, four sisters, Glenna Helen Drennan, Alana Croker, Janice Schlecht and Anita Lynn Schlecht and one brother, Dale Cordell. He was preceded in death by parents and two brothers, Jackie Cordell and Larry Schlecht. Memorial contributions may be made to the DAV with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
