A Celebration of Life for Rufus Troy Mitchell, 103, of Enid, will be Thursday, December 1, 2016, 10:00 AM at the Willow Road Christian Church with Pastor Carrell E. Still officiating. The interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 from 6 to 7 pm. Rufus was born August 29, 1913 in Fresno, California the son of Kenneth and Pearl Buck Mitchell. He was united in marriage to Grace White August 12, 1933 in Rising Star, Texas and she preceded him in death February 1, 1990. He retired in 1975 from Champlain Refinery after thirty-four years. He was member of Davis Park Christian Church and most recently a member of Willow Road Christian Church. He will be remembered as the family historian, a loving husband, father and grandfather. Survivors include a daughter, Percilla Penner and her husband Charles of Joplin, Missouri, a son, Dahl Mitchell of Virginia, two grandchildren, Shelby Allen and her husband Donny and Adam Penner and his wife Tasha, 4 great-grandchildren, Tyler Penner, Lexus Allen, Bentley Allen and Colton Penner and a brother, Olen Mitchell of Hutchinson, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to Ozark Christian College or St. Jude’s Children Hospital with Ladusau-Evans funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds Condolences may be left and viewing of the service at www.ladusauevans.com <http://www.ladusauevans.com> .
