Arlene LaVonne (Martin) Jeske
July 23, 1936 to January 20, 2007
DALLAS - Arlene went to be with the Lord on January 20, 2007 surrounded by her family. She was 70 years old and was married to Daniel John Jeske, a marriage of 48 years.
Arlene was born in Tonasket, Washington on July 23, 1936 to Hal Dean and Margaret (Small) Martin. She attended High School in Orville Washington graduating in 1954. She then attended North West Bible College in Seattle Washington, where she met and later married her husband Daniel John Jeske. They lived in Seattle Washington then later moved to Valsetz Oregon in 1968. There they raised their four children. Lillian, Diana, Steven and Ken and met many wonderful friends who became like family. In 1984 they moved to Monmouth, McMinnville and later Dallas where they remain today.
Arlene was an active member of the Valley Life Center in Dallas. Her love for her family and God was the center of her life. Arlene’s greatest joys were spending time with her family, grandchildren, working on her Valsetz history book on her computer, gardening, having coffee with her husband and friends and shopping.
Arlene is survived by her husband, John; Daughters Lillian White of Salem, Diana, (Husband Russ) Pishion of Dufur; and Son Ken (Wife Terri) Jeske of Monmouth. Arlene was blessed with 13 grandchildren who are Makayla (fiancé Collin) and Jordan Reed, Brenean and Janessa White, Jackie (Husband Michael) Whitesell. Stacie (Husband Steve) Brown, Jerry (Fiancé Sonya) Pishion, Josh Gwynn, Brandon, Robert and Tyler Jeske, Ryan and Zach McKee, and six great grandchildren Joshua, Marcus, Jessica and Andrew Brown, Josiah Whitesell and Kiarah Gilbreath which she was very proud of. Arlene was preceded in death by her son Steven John Jeske and Grandson Brian Underwood.
She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed. Visititation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Thursday, January 25th at the Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center in Dallas. A celebration of Arlene's life will be held at the Valley Life Center (1795 SE Miller Avenue in Dallas on Friday, January 26th at 11:00 a.m. The funeral will be followed by a reception immediately following at the Valley Life Center. A Private family graveside will take place at Dallas Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Valley Life Center in care of Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center.
