Daniel “Dano” J. Koleno, 67, of Bellefonte, passed away Friday, December 16, 2016 at his home. Born on July 15, 1949 in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late stepfather Stuart S. and Lois “Becky” (Bathgate) Rowin. He was a 1967 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School and he then furthered his education at Pittsburgh with a degree in computer technology. He worked for Centre County Government and later years at RBA Systems. Dano is survived by a daughter, Misty Rider (Jim) and granddaughter, Sierra (the spark that lit up his life); a sister, Sheila Bickle (George) and nephew, Michael; stepbrother Bryce Rowin (Suzanne) and stepsister, Hattie Kuhn (Jim). He enjoyed company of many friends and will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor. He also enjoyed classic cars and a train enthusiast. He often spent Friday nights listening to his favorite 80’s music. At home, his favorite sidekick was his cat “Kitty.” He was a member of the Eagle Heights Bible Church. Public viewing held on Monday, December 19, 2016 from 6-8 PM at Wetzler Funeral Service Inc., 206 N. Spring St. Bellefonte. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at 10 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Stephen Hicks and Assistant Pastor David Etters officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
