Wetzler Supervisor 814-355-4261 OBITUARY JEAN MARIE KIRKPATRICK March 6, 1923 – February 17, 2017 Jean Marie Kirkpatrick, 93, of Bellefonte passed away Friday, February 17, 2017 at Centre Crest Nursing Home. Born on March 6, 1923, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of George and Vera (Struble) Young. She was married to Charles Alexander Kirkpatrick, who preceded her in death on March 23, 1973. Jean was a 1941 graduate of Bellefonte High School. She worked for Bell Telephone as a switch operator and she also retired from Sunset West after 20 years of service. She was a life member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Bellefonte. Jean was a NASCAR fan and her favorite driver was Rusty Wallace, she also enjoyed ice skating, crafting, making ceramics, quilts, and was an avid baseball fan, never missing a world series. Jean is survived by three children, Carol Ann Coble of Centre Hall, Allan Edward Kirkpatrick (Dee) of Harrisonburg, VA, and Alice Marie Rhoads (Donald) of Bellefonte. Also surviving are three grandchildren; Amy Klinefelter (Troy), Tyler James Rhoads and Kayla Christine Rhoads, three great grandchildren, Rachel LeAnne Klinefelter, Jordan Mackenzie Klinefelter and Troy Allen Klinefelter, Jr., and one sister, Nancy Shawley of State College and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, George Young and Ralph Young, Sr. There will be a public visitation held on Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 10:00a.m. to 12:00p.m. at Wetzler Funeral Home, 206 N. Spring Street, Bellefonte. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Reverend Christopher Passante and Reverend Ralph E. Young, Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Union Cemetery, Bellefonte. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 128 W. Howard Street, Bellefonte, PA 16823.
