Mary C. Kahle, 93, of Bellefonte, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Centre Crest Nursing Home. Born on June 17, 1923, in Houtzdale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas “Muggs” and Tillie (Chapman) Martin. She married Charles Kahle, who preceded her in death on April 2, 2000. Mary attended the Madera School System. She worked at Penn State University in the dining hall and worked for several years at Linden Labs. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Bellefonte. Mary is survived by her children: Thomas Hunt (Donna) of Lewiston, NY, Judith Hunt of Lewiston, NY, Harry “Mugs” Hunt (Carol) of Bellefonte, Charlene Kahle Friedman of Los Angles, CA, Deborah Kahle of Georgia, and two brothers, Harold (Ellie) Hensal of Florida, and William (Mary) Hensal of Oregon. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren: Julie Boucher (Mickey) of Lockport, NY, Brenda Cowe of Ithaca, NY, William Hunt of Sedona, AZ, Martin Hunt (Jennifer) of Kenmore, NY, Timothy Hunt (Belinda Stevens) of Niagara Falls, NY, Jennifer Johnson of Chicago, IL, Hilary Craig (Dave) of Greer, SC, Melanie Snare (Tim) of Huntingdon, PA, Madison Friedman of San Francisco, CA, Danny Spear of Georgia, Eric Spear of North Carolina, Heather Michael of Bellefonte, Travis Kahle of Lock Haven, Jarrett Kahle of Lock Haven, and numerous great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons; Danny and John Kahle and eight brothers: Robert Martin, John Martin, Thomas Martin, James Hensal, Richard Hensal, Harry Hensal, Frank Hensal and Archie Schreck. There will be a public visitation held on Monday, October 31, 2016 from 9:30 am until 11:00 am at Faith United Methodist Church, 512 Hughes Street, Bellefonte, PA 16823. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith United Methodist Church, 512 Hughes Street, Bellefonte, PA 16823. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 31, 2016 at 11:00 am at the church with Reverend Andrew Morgan officiating. Burial will follow Centre County Memorial Park, State College.
