Marion Davis

Marion L. Davis, 77, of Saylorsburg died Friday, November 25 in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. She was the wife of John W. Davis Jr. They had observed their 53rd wedding anniversary on November 9. Born in Saylorsburg, she was a daughter of the late Raymond R. and Violet I. (Gehris) Hawk. She had worked at Anna Sportswear in West Bangor for ten years before retiring in 2006 and prior to that she worked at Valerie Fashions in Wind Gap for thirty five years. She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ in Gilbert and the Chestnut Ridge Senior Citizens in Kunkletown. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a brother, LeRoy Hawk of Saylorsburg; two sisters, Ethel Warner of York and Fern Boyce of Tunkhannock; a sister-in-law, Alycia Hawk of York Haven and five nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 1 at 11:00 AM from the Kresge Funeral Home, 1763 Route 209 Brodheadsville, with Rev. David Schnaars officiating. Burial will be in Buena Vista Cemetery, Brodheadsville. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 7:00 to 8:30 PM and on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
