George Haulman

George W. Haulman, Jr., 69, of Chambersburg, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born March 3, 1947, in Chambersburg he was a son of the late George W. Haulman, Sr. and Helen Mull Haulman. George was a 1967 graduate of CASHS. He was employed at Johnnies Restaurant and Hotel Services in Chambersburg for 40 years until his retirement in 2013. An active member of the community, George belonged to the American Legion Post 46, the AmVETS Post 224, the Marine Corps League, Franklin Fire Co., New Franklin Volunteer Fire Co., Fayetteville Fire Co., Marion Volunteer Fire Co., St. Thomas Township Volunteer Fire Co., New Franklin Ruritan Club and the Hamilton Ruritan Club. He also enjoyed playing bingo. George is survived by his wife, Linda K. Harvey Haulman whom he married in 1973; two sons, Kevin Haulman and wife Robin and Kurtis Haulman, both of Chambersburg; one granddaughter, Samantha Haulman of Chambersburg; and two siblings, Deborah Armstrong and husband Larry of Shady Grove and Robert Haulman and wife Deborah of Newville. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 6, 2016, from 6 – 9 PM at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Interment in Salem Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Franklin/Fulton Division, 1019 Mumma Road, Wormleysburg, PA 17043, or the American Diabetes Association, 150 Monument Road, Suite 100, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004 or to any of the area fire companies.
