Linda Spedden

Linda L. Spedden, 68, of Chambersburg, passed away on December 3, 2016, at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born June 21, 1948, in Roaring Spring, PA, she was a daughter of the late Walter Mills, Jr., and Lois Ritchey Mills. Linda was a 1966 graduate of CASHS. She was a homemaker most of her adult life. Linda is survived by her husband of 50 years, Denton C. “Denny” Spedden, whom she married on September 4, 1966; two sons, Brian Spedden (Lesa) and Scott Spedden (Antonia), both of Chambersburg; four grandchildren, Satori, Reese, Kyle, and Olivia Spedden, all of Chambersburg; three siblings, Karen Adams (Ronald), Beverly Henneberger (Roger), and Gary Mills (Jeanne), all of Chambersburg; and her brother-in-law, Elwood Spedden (Phyllis) of CO. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 6, 2016, in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA. Rev. Harold Yeager will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Lincoln Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6 – 8 PM and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Road West, Chambersburg, PA 17201 or to the American Diabetes Association, 150 Monument Road Suite 100, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.
