Obituary

Dora Mae Young Miles Carroll was born March 13, 1937 to William Young and Willie Mae Young in Greenville, South Carolina.

She attended West Greenville Elementary and graduated from Sterling High School in 1955.

She went to Nursing School for a short time, she married her childhood sweetheart Jewel Miles and they raised 3 boys, Bryan, Perry and Shawn.

She had been employed at Workmen Circle and Bishop Nursing Home.

She loved Church, and attended Fairview Baptist, she loved movies, she had an archive of movie stars. She joined Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, married to Deccan Joseph Carroll she was a member of the Mother’s Prayer Group. She attended church until her illness, no longer allowed her.

She was predeceased by her husband’s Jewel Miles, Joseph Carroll and son Bryan Miles. Brother JW Young and Thomas. Dora is survived by her loving sons Perry and Shawn. Leonard Carroll, a dear sister Leslie Garnett (Bruce), Richard, John, Little Leslie.

Her Cherished Grandchildren, Dora and Jewel, God-daughter, Lisa Jones, Aunt, Carrie Luv Davis of Greenville, SC., sister-friends Dora Jones and Minnie Gordy.
