Joseph H. Rightmire

JOSEPH H. RIGHTMIRE, 64 years of Delta, PA, died on Monday, December 26, 2016 in his home. He was the husband of Bonnie L. (Curley) Rightmire with whom he had shared 27 years of marriage. Born on July 17, 1952 in Baltimore, MD, he was a son of the late Julian W. and Sara (Cochran) Rightmire and a 1970 graduate of Kennard Dale High School in Fawn Grove, PA. Joe had retired in 2002 with over 25 years of service working in the Document Service Department of the Philadelphia Electric Company. In retirement, Joe worked part-time at Bulle Rock Golf Course in Havre de Grace, MD. He enjoyed playing golf, watching golf tournaments on television and was an avid fan of the Philadelphia pro sports teams. He just recently enjoyed the Pittsburgh Steelers win over the Baltimore Ravens. Joe was known as a dedicated husband and family man, always there when needed. In addition to his wife, he is survived by: Two siblings- Barbara R. Coble and her husband, Larry of Portersville, PA Sandy Rightmire and his wife, Phyllis of Delta, PA Loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Sally J. Rightmire in 1998. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA with the funeral service on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Kenneth Osborne of Slateville Presbyterian Church, Delta, PA will officiate with interment in Slateville Cemetery.
