Thomas Muller

THOMAS DANIEL MULLER (Shag) passed into the arms of Jesus at his home on the morning of January 3, 2017 at the age of 75. He was surrounded by family. Tom is the son of the late Mark Leo Muller and Anna Fitzpatrick Muller. Tom is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Suzan (Stevens) Muller. They were married in Baltimore MD on October 19, 1963. Shag is lovingly remembered by his children, Thomas Martin Muller and wife Kimberly of Chatfield Minnesota, John Andrew Muller of Delta, Daniel Edwin Muller and wife Karen of Red Lion, Robert Fitzpatrick Muller and wife Leah of York, Mary Elizabeth McKinsey and husband Trevor of Delta, Allen Mark Muller and wife Karen of Middletown, and Sarah Marine Rhine and husband John of Dallastown. Pop was proud to be the Grandfather to 20 grandchildren, Emily (Muller) Brown, Eliah Muller, Caleb Muller, Madelyn Muller, Christopher Muller, Benjamin Muller, Danielle Muller, Anna McKinsey, Bridget Muller, Samantha Muller, Liam McKinsey, Shawn Muller, Wyatt Muller, Quentin Rhine, Patrick Muller, Claire Rhine, Katherine Rhine, Hunter McKinsey, Kaine McKinsey and Aiden McKinsey. Tom is preceded in death by siblings Margaret Ann (Chippy) Baummer, Mark (Bubby) Muller, and Steven Frances (Frank) Muller. He is survived by siblings Mary Helen Sparr, Phillip Patrick Muller and Vincent Hammond Muller. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Shag was born at his home in Bradshaw, MD on November 2, 1941. He graduated from St. Stephens High School in Bradshaw, MD in 1960. Shag was a carpenter, proud to use his hands to earn a living working for himself as well as many companies throughout his years. He held many other titles in his rich life including farmer, chicken fryer, coach, friend and mentor to many. He was also active with local community organizations, such as The Lions Club, the Airville 4-H club and The Knights of Columbus. Shag was a long-time member of St. Mary's Catholic Parish in Pylesville, MD. He enjoyed spending time with his family, driving his Thunderbird, walking in the woods overlooking the river, watching Notre Dame football, John Wayne movies and Jeopardy. He loved dancing with his wife and playing cards with his friends. Those who loved him know his opinions were strong, but his generosity was stronger. The visitation will be held Friday, January 6, 2017 from 3 – 5 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. in Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main St. Delta PA. Upon arrival, please see parking attendants for your convenience. The Rosary will be offered by the Knights of Columbus at Harkins. The Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday January 7 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 1021 St. Mary’s Rd, Pylesville, MD with Msgr. Robert Hartnett officiating. A reception will take place at St. Mary’s Hall immediately following. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Obituary lovingly written by Tom’s family.
