Grace Umberger Conrad, 96, of Traditions of Hershey in Campbelltown, and formerly of Hummelstown, passed away Monday, February 13, 2017, in her home. Born in West Hanover Township on July 17, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Simon and Lillie Gingrich Umberger. Grace retired from the Hershey Chocolate Company; and had worked at the former Anne’s Pie Shop, Hummelstown. She was a 1938 graduate of Hershey High School. Grace was a member of Lebanon Valley Bible Church. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, and making quilts. Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Warren E. Conrad, on May 20, 2002, a brother, Albert Umberger, and a sister, Violet Painter. She is survived by two sons, Thomas C. Conrad husband of Kristen E. of Duncannon, and Donald L. Conrad of Hummelstown; one brother, Marlin Umberger of Hershey; four grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at 11 AM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with Pastor John B. Hunt officiating. Interment will be in the Hanoverdale Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing in the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 AM until time of the service.
