Adeline Dahl

KANE Adeline "Addy" Dahl, 83, of 7016 Rt. 6, passed away Tuesday (August 16, 2016) at Kane Community Hospital. Born April 22, 1933, in Kane, she was a daughter of the late Angelo Damico and Caroline (Orzetti) Damico. On June 14, 1963, in Kane, she married Richard L. Dahl who preceded her in death in 2014. Addy had previously worked at Houston Electronics and had also worked grooming dogs, but her primary role in life was being a source of endless love and support to a multitude of family members, friends, and neighbors. Surviving are a son, Dr. Ron Dahl of Berkeley, CA; six grandchildren, Caroline Lindquist of Kane, Scott Dahl of Johnsonburg, Julia Dahl of State College, Rory Dahl of Pittsburgh, Robert Dahl living in Seoul, Korea, and Adelaina Dahl of Berkeley, CA; and four great- grandchildren, Madison Lindquist of Bradford, Alex Lindquist of Kane, Ariana Vanatta of Johnsonburg, and Kaycie Dahl of Kane. Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents and husband, were a son, Randy Dahl; a brother, Serafino (Sonny) Damico; a sister, Mary Ann Dunne; a nephew, Scott Dunne; and her stepmother, Marie Kline Damico. Addy’s kindness, generosity, and loving spirit will be cherished for decades by many family members and friends. Friends will be received Friday from 7-9 pm and Saturday from 10-11 am at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. where funeral services will follow at 11:00 am.
