John Kibbie

John R. Kibbie KANE John R. Kibbie, 74, of 318 Tionesta Avenue, and previously of Bradford, died Thursday evening (December 22. 2016) at the Kane Community Hospital. He was born April 28, 1942 in Olean, NY, the son of the late Lawrence and Mary (Quigley) Kibbie. On Aug. 13, 1983 in Brookstone, PA, he married Bonita Srock, who survives. Mr. Kibbie had received two Master's Degrees, one in biology and one in physiology. He taught biology for many years at the Bradford Area School District and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in both Kane and Bradford. In addition to his wife he is survived by one daughter, Julie (Mason) Lee of Shawnee, CO; one son James Kibbie of Kane; four grandchildren, Aviel, Doran, Eden and Elkan Lee; one sister, Clara McDowell of Seattle, WA and one brother, James Kibbie of Kane. He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by a brother, Tom Kibbie and two sisters, Mary Tucker and Barb Pearson. Friends will be received on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.at the Cummings Funeral Home, Inc. where funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday (Dec. 27) at 2:00 p.m. Memorial Donations may be made to the McKean County SPCA, 80 Glenwood Dr., Bradford, PA 16701 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
