Age 80, of Bridgeville, peacefully passed away in the arms of her husband on Tuesday, February 21, 2017. Beloved Wife of David M. Chabala for 56 years; Loving Mother of Fred M. (Sue) Chabala, Mary Louise (Dan) McBride, and Beth Anne Chabala-Boyd; Proud Grandmother of Leslie Chabala, Colin, Kevin, and Logan McBride, Olivia (Michael) DelRe, and Sara, Samuel, Gabriel, Lucas, Benjamin, and Nicholas Boyd; Sister of the late Kathryn (Gatti) Smith; Daughter of the late Fred and Bessie Gatti; Sister-in-Law of Edward (Mary Ann) Chabala and Martin (Loretta) Chabala; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Elizabeth received a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Duquesne University. She led a prayerful life as a lay Carmelite and a longtime member of St. Barbara Parish. Elizabeth shared her love of music with many piano students around the Bridgeville area. She always enjoyed her family camping vacations. She will be remembered for her love of life and, most of all, her love of family. She will be truly missed by many. Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUER-FRYER, 412-221-3800. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Barbara Parish, Bridgeville on Friday at 10 AM. Interment will be in St. Barbara Cemetery.
