Carlton Henry

Carlton L. "Butch" Henry, 60, of Julian, died Saturday, October 29, 2016. Born January 20, 1956, in Bellefonte, he was the son of Jean Lockhart Henry, of Julian and Roy L "Herk" Henry and his step-mother, Nancy Henry, of Spring Mills. He was a 1974 graduate of the Bald Eagle Area High School and the Centre County Vo-Tech School. Butch was a Correction Officer at the Centre County Correction Facility. He also worked in the stables at the Grier School in Birmingham. Butch was a Civil War enthusiast. He was a Hobby Farmer with his son, Lance. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was a Baltimore Ravens fan and a Beatles fan. He was a member of the Port Matilda American Legion Post 536. He was a member of the Bald Eagle Baptist Church. Along with his parents, he is survived by his former wife, Sharon Kelce, of Julian; two sons, Nathan E. Henry and Lance E. Henry, both of Julian; four sisters, Gloria (Dave) Fetters, of Bellefonte, Dianne (J.R.) Warfield, of Dysart, Nancy Henry, of Hartwell, Ga. and Stacy Ostrofsky, of Munson; and two grandchildren, Christopher Henry and Derek Henry. Butch was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Butch was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Henry. Family and friends will be received at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 110 Front Street, Milesburg, on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Ben Lee officiating. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery, Huston Township, Centre County. Arrangements are under the direction of Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, Milesburg.
