David Bittinger

David M. Bittinger, 51 of Clarence passed away Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Hearthside Rehab and Nursing Center in State College. David was born in Lewistown on March 31, 1965, a son of the late David Morgan and Helen Brown Gasper. He is survived by his wife, the former Cathi Etters Bittinger, at home Also surviving are his two sons, David S. Bittinger and Kaden M. Bittinger at home, his daughter, Devon R. Etters and his step-daughter, Amber Homan of Hendersonville, NC; three sisters, Cindy Peters of Bellefonte, Susan Gasper of Tyrone, JoAnn Greenaway of Snow Shoe, and four brothers, Brian Bittinger of Port Matilda, Jeff Bittinger of Downingtown, Michael Bittinger of rural Julian and John Gasper of Snow Shoe. David was employed as a laborer doing different jobs. He was of the Protestant faith. David enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing catch football with his children, a tinkerer and was an avid Dallas Cowboys football fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Carrie Hurd and a brother, Timothy Bittinger. Family and friends will be received on Monday, October 31, 2016 from 1:30 P.M. to 2:30 P.M. at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 201 Spring St., Milesburg. Funeral Services will follow at 2:30 P.M. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of The Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 201 Spring St., Milesburg.
