Margaret Baker Obituary

Margaret E. Baker, 93, formerly of Hublersburg and State College, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at the Eagle Valley Personal Care Home in Milesburg after a brief illness. She was born on November 3, 1923 in Mill Hall, a daughter of the late Jacob D. and Jennie M. (Shaffer) Auman. On January 25, 1947, in Herdon, she married Rev. Truman L. Baker. Margaret assisted her husband in his role as pastor to many churches in the Central Pennsylvania area. They served 18 years, from 1968 to 1985, at the Trinty United Church of Christ in Hublersburg before they retired. Margaret is survived by her daughter and grandson, Elva and Brian Kerstetter of Bellefonte; her son, Keith Baker of Harrisburg; her brother and sister-in-law, Gene J. and Shirley Auman of Lewistown, and her sister, Mary J. Dugan of Reedsville; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Truman L. Baker, her three brothers, Kenneth, James and Dean Auman and a son-in-law, Ronald Kerstetter. Family and Friends will be received at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home on Friday, January 20, 2017 from 1PM until 2 PM. The service will follow at 2 PM with Pastor Andrew Morgan officiating. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in the Fairview Cemetery, Millhiem. Memorial contributions may be made to the general fund of the Trinty United Church of Christ, 355 Hublersburg Road, Bellefonte, PA 16823. Arrangements are under the direction of the Dean K.
