Thelma J. Reed 65 of rural Bellefonte, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2016 at her home. Thelma was born on August 1, 1951 in Huntingdon a daughter of the late Harold and Fay Barnett Garner. Thelma was married to David W. Reed, Sr. of Bellefonte for 41 years.Thelma had worked at Corning before her retirement. She had also worked at Whispering Pines. Thelma had enjoyed camping, playing card, helping people when she could, spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia A. Reed of Bath, New York and her two sons, David W. (Amy) Reed, Jr. of Bellefonte, and Mike A. (Beth) Reed of Rebersburg, her three grandchildren, Odessa Reed of Bellefonte, Quinten Reed of Bellefonte, David W. Reed III, of Bellefonte and four step-grandchildren, Cameron and Madison Ammon of Little Marsh Creek, Howard and Emily and Timothy Wolfe, Rebersburg . Also surviving are five sisters, Carol (Paul) Deering, of rural Bellefonte, Marge (John) Yearick of Bellefonte, Cathy Garner of Bellefonte, Jean (Mark) Breon, Pleasant Gap, Helen (Dick) Brenneman of State College, one brother, Harold (Sue) Garner of Bellefonte, and her brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law: Dave and Mary Reese , Bellefonte, Dan and Judy Lose ,Centre Hall, Rick and Bea Reed, Centre Hall, Jim and Carol Reed of Milesburg. At Thelma's request there will be no visitation or services. Arrangements are under the direction of The Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 201 Spring St., Milesburg.
