Christopher A. George

Christopher A. George, 40, of New Castle, passed away the morning of December 3, 2016 at UPMC Jameson Hospital. He was born on September 27, 1976 in New Castle. He is survived by his parents, Jerry A. George and wife Betty A. of New Castle and Theresa Arena George and companion David Rosati of New Castle. Surviving at home is his beloved wife, the former Anita Munson, whom he married on October 3, 2009.

A graduate of New Castle High School, Christopher earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Slippery Rock University. He worked as the Senior Software Engineer for Omnicell (formerly McKesson Pharmaceuticals) in Cranberry Township, PA. Christopher enjoyed visiting casinos and golfing and was an avid Chicago Bears fan. His greatest joy came from spending time with his wife and their two cats.

In addition to his parents and wife, Christopher is survived by his brother, Vito George and wife Marie of New Castle; sister, Nicole Boughter and husband Charles of New Castle; mother- and father-in-law, Leroy and Suzanne Munson of New Castle; brother-in-law, Michael Munson of New Castle; and his loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 3000 Wilmington Rd. A prayer service will be held Wednesday at 9:10am at the funeral home, conducted by Pastor Seth Booher. A procession will leave the funeral home Wednesday at 9:30am to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at St. Vitus Church, conducted by Father William Siple.

Interment will take place in Parkside Cemetery.
