<p>Mary Lou DiCola, 84 of New Castle died Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at the Jameson Care Center. Mary Lou was born on January 19, 1932 in New Castle, daughter of the late Andrew and Genevieve (Passerrello) Sarbo. </p><p><br></p><p>She was a 1949 graduate of New Castle High School and a member of St. Vitus Church. She worked for several insurance companies starting in the early 1970’s and eventually became the owner of the DiCola Insurance Agency until she retired in 1998. Mary Lou enjoyed gardening and knitting. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan but she most enjoyed having her family visit with her and her husband John. She loved her family. </p><p><br></p><p>Mary Lou is survived by her son, John C. DiCola, Jr. and his wife Dede, her brother, Joe Sarbo and his wife Janet, her sister, Gerry Russo and her husband Mickey all of New Castle, two grandchildren, Holly DiCola and Ben DiCola and his wife Gina, three great-grandchildren, Connor Thomas and Benny and Isabella DiCola along with several nieces and nephews.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to her parents, Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband, John C. DiCola, Sr. whom she married on November 25, 1949; he died April 11, 2016. </p><p><br></p><p>Visiting hours will be on Saturday, November 26, 2016 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am followed by a service at 11:30 am at the Ed &amp; Don DeCarbo Funeral Home &amp; Crematory, 3000 Wilmington Road, officiated by Father Frank Almade of St. Vitus Church. Entombment will be in Parkside Cemetery &amp; Mausoleum. </p><p><br></p><p>Contributions can be made to the Cray Youth and Family Services Inc., 332 Highland Ave., New Castle, PA 16101</p>
