Catherine F. Brand, 91, of Pennsburg, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on January 23, 2017. She was the widow of Francis J. Brand who died in 1989. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Anna Fambach. She worked as a seamstress for several area clothing factories. She was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Pennsburg. Catherine was very involved in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great granchildren. She was affectionately refered to as “Nanna” by everyone in the family. She served as a Cub Scout Leader and a Girl Scout Leader. She was known for making sumptuous holiday feasts with as many as twenty homemade pies for family and friends. Surviving are her children: Robert and his wife Nancy Lou of Neffs, PA, Richard and his wife Karen of Prescott, AZ, , Elizabeth, wife of Donald Zaengle of Pennsburg, and Kathleen, wife of Dennis Scott of Bethlehem; grandchildren: Melissa, Teresa, Susan, Richard II, Robert II, and Michael; and great grandchildren: Trevor, Trystan, Krislyn, Wyatt, and Wesley. She was predeceased by a son Thomas who died in 1951, a granddaughter Kristie Lynn Roth who passed away in 1976, and her siblings Charles and Viola. Services will be held privately.
