Margaret R. Keller Obituary

Margaret R. Keller, 97, a resident at Chapel Point, Carlisle, died Sunday, November 13, 2016 at the home. Born March 23, 1919 in Penn Township, Cumberland County, she was a daughter of the late William C. and Kathryn H. Bishop Neidig. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Walnut Bottom. Margaret was a 1938 graduate of the Newville High School and a 1942 graduate of the Shippensburg State Teachers College. She retired from Big Spring School District where she worked as an Elementary School Teacher for many years. She also taught many years at the Centerville Elementary and Junior High School during the years of WWII. Margaret was a member of the Pennsylvania and Cumberland County Chapter Association of School Retirees. She is survived by a number of nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray L. Keller who died November 17, 1998, two brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 21, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. Harold A. Bolyard, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Jacksonville Cemetery. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 217 Walnut Bottom, PA. 17266.
